Westfalenmädel

Die letzten Wochen war ich mit Büffeln beschäftigt, es gab nur ein paar kreative Pausen um die Gedanken wieder zu ordnen. Das praktische und schriftliche Examen habe ich geschafft, nächste Woche steht die abschließende mündliche Prüfung an. Ich beschäftige mich zur Zeit mit  Psychologie, Neuropsychologie, Linguistik, Pädagogik, HNO, Sprachentwicklung, neurologische Sprachstörungen, Stimmstörungen und  Sonderpädagogik. Da brummt oft der Schädel und es bleibt wenig gefühlte Zeit für das liebste Hobby. Ein paar Sachen habe ich doch geschafft: The last weeks were filled with studys for my final oral exam. I already managed the practical and the written part. At the moment, I study psychology, neuropsychology, linguistics, educational theory, special needs education, Otolaryngology, language- development, neurologic speech disorder and voice handicap. Meines wird mit Lernen für das schriftliche Examen nächste Woche gefüllt sein. Ich freue mich soooo auf die Ferien und meine Bernina! Have a wonderful weekend! Die kleine neue Erdenbürgerin wird schon sehnlichst erwartet. Ein Willkommensgeschenk ist schon fast fertig, es fehlt nur noch das Quilting. Sind die kleinen Figuren nicht zauberhaft? Aus den Resten habe ich einen kleinen Auftrag erledigt: Mein Patenkind wünschte sich  als  Abschiedgeschenk für eine liebe Lehrerin eine Tablet- Hülle. Da konnte ich auch  mal "Quilt as you go" ausprobieren. Das Photo lies sich prima auf EQ Printable fabric  sheets drucken und in das Patchwork einbauen.Gewünscht wurden Rosa und Blümchen.... Ein schönes sonniges Wochenende! Karin

....für einen Minipost habe ich gerade Zeit, da ich in der Examensvorbereitung stecke, welches im Juni startet.Man soll ja beim Lernen regelmäßige Pausen einlegen ;0) Das Ergebnis gefällt mir sehr! Interessanterweise beeindruckt es jung und alt in meinem Umfeld. Da ich ohne Acrylschablone zugeschnitten habe und jedes Kurventeil gesteckt habe, wird es nur ein Lapsize- Quilt werden.  Only a very short posting, because I'm in the preparation for my exam (speech therapy), that'll start in June. We were teached to take short breaks, to keep the studys more efficient ;o) I love my blanket so far. Interestingly, I get positive reactions from young and old people.   It's only lapsized, because I worked without acrylic templates and pinned every curvy piece before sewing...... Nachdem ich mir eine Designwall zusammengebastelt habe - aus ein paar Styroporplatten, Klebeband, Vlies und vielen Stecknadeln-, macht das Arrangieren der Stoffschnipsel viel mehr Spaß...... With my new designwall ( some styroform  boards, duct tape, batting and tons of pins) it is so much fun to arrange all those fabric snippets! Langweilig ? Boring? Mehr Power mit Beeren  :0) More power with berrys :0) Und jetzt ran an die Kurven.......Mir ist schon ganz schwindelig! And now I'll have to manage all those curves........I'm feeling already dizzy! Ferienzeit = Quiltzeit Das neue Projekt ist weitgehend zugeschnitten. Da sind ganz schön viele Kurven zu nähen...... Auf Craftsy.com habe ich einige nützliche Tipps gefunden. Holidays = Quilting- days I have just cut the fabrics for my new projekt. There are a lot of curves to manage.....   I discovered a lot of useful tutorials on Craftsy.com  Glücklicherweise gibt es auch ein paar schnöde Quadrate ;0) Fortunately, there are some simple quaters ;0) Ich bin überrascht, wie gut die beerigen Töne dazu harmonieren.....
